The Henry Jones Art Hotel is a luxury destination located on Hobart’s historic waterfront, offering guests a unique blend of premium accommodation and immersive cultural experiences. Housed in the iconic IXL Jam Factory, the hotel is part of the vibrant Hunter Street Precinct, a collection of hospitality venues under the Federal Hospitality banner. Within this precinct, guests can explore Tasmania’s rich history, art, and culinary excellence.

Landscape Restaurant & Grill stands as the signature dining destination within the Hunter Street Precinct, where fine Tasmanian produce meets the primal elegance of cooking over coals on our asado grill.

Set against the backdrop of John Glover’s evocative artworks, the restaurant offers an experience that captures the essence of Tasmania’s landscape and culture.

In this casual position, you will work across our Pastry and Larder sections, creating exquisite and visually stunning entrees and desserts. Your role will involve working with a talented team to deliver high-quality dishes that delight and satisfy our guests, ensuring each plate is a memorable experience.

To the role you will bring
  • Proven experience as a Pastry Chef De Partie in a premium, a la carte restaurant

  • Eye for detail and strong time management

  • Genuine enthusiasm for contemporary cooking

  • A strong desire to provide exceptional service and exceed guest expectations

  • Qualification in Patisserie, Commercial Cookery or equivalent

  • Availability to work evening shifts across a 7 day rotational roster, including weekends and public holidays.
