Position Summary

Fitters are responsible for assembling, constructing and installing a range of mechanical and system components including engines, jets, thrusters, T-foils, fire systems; as well as undertaking Engineering works in accordance with Incat’s design specifications, DNV and vessel construction requirements. Incat’s mechanical Fitters will be able interpret and work from technical drawings, adhere to safe working procedures, and work in accordance with Incat’s high quality standards.
Qualifications, Experience, Skills and Attributes
Cert III Qualification (mechanic, fitter and/or have experience in pipefitting)
White Card
Ability to work effectively as part of a team with minimal direct supervision
Ability to meet deadlines and deliver consistent high-quality work in a team environment

Key Responsibilities
Read and interpret technical drawings and perform engineering measurements
Tack weld steel and aluminium
Manufacture piping systems. Ability to form pipe work with the aid of various tooling and equipment
Manufacture & Install clamps, brackets and hangers to support piping systems
Test systems for leaks or other issues using testing equipment
Produce work to a survey standard
General fabrication
