About the role:

As a COPE Driver, you’ll work in a varied, hands-on role that includes:

  • Sorting, loading, and securing freight in specialised vehicles
  • Completing deliveries and pickups across Hobart and surrounding areas
  • Delivery and installation of high-value goods including, but not limited to, high-end Medical, Print & I.T Equipment
  • Ensuring correct packing and load restraint in line with safety and CoR requirements
  • Scanning freight using COPE’s track and trace system
  • Liaising with customers and internal teams to ensure successful delivery outcomes
  • Working independently as a sole driver or as part of a delivery team when required

 

What you will bring to this role:

  • Good geographical knowledge of Hobart and surrounding suburbs
  • A current Medium Rigid (MR) licence or higher
  • A strong commitment to safety and Chain of Responsibility (CoR) compliance
  • Experience in transport, removals or sensitive freight is helpful
  • Forklift, white card or working-at-heights licences are desired but not essential
  • Self-motivation, reliability and good physical fitness
  • Sound judgement and a professional approach to customer service
