Hilliard Christian School is seeking to employ a Grounds & Maintenance Officer to join their team.

The Grounds & Maintenance Officer will be employed on a permanent part-time basis of 22.8 hours per week for an immediate start. Working hours may be arranged on a flexible schedule .

The focus of the Grounds & Maintenance Officer is to support the Property Manager in maintaining the school's buildings, facilities and grounds to a safe, functional and welcoming standard.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will carry out routine groundskeeping duties, including mowing, trimming, pruning, and general garden care, while also assisting with the upkeep of sporting areas, playgrounds, and outdoor surfaces. The role includes performing minor building repairs such as basic carpentry, painting, and general maintenance tasks, as well as identifying maintenance needs and reporting issues promptly. The candidate will also assist with furniture movement, event setups, and a range of seasonal tasks to support the smooth operation of the site.

Application Requirements

The sucessful applicant will hold a relevant qualification and have 2+ years industry experience, have an understanding of Work Health & Safety guidelines, hold a Working With Vulnerable People card and Australian Driver Licence, with a certificate in First Aid being preferable.
