As we continue to invest in and expand our platform and software offerings, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Business Development Manager to help drive the next stage of our national growth.
The Opportunity
This is not a traditional sales role.
While our heritage includes print and mail services, our future growth is focused on software platforms, customer portals, digital communications, data integration and customer engagement solutions.
The successful applicant will initially focus on developing existing customer relationships, identifying growth opportunities within our current customer base, supporting product adoption and strengthening our presence within government, utility and enterprise markets.
As product knowledge and market familiarity develop, the role will progressively expand into broader national business development activities.
The position can be based anywhere in Australia and will involve regular interaction with customers via Teams, telephone and email, together with occasional interstate travel and visits to our Tasmanian head office.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers.
Identify opportunities to introduce additional products and services within existing accounts.
Generate new business opportunities across government, utilities and enterprise sectors.
Promote our growing suite of digital platforms, customer communication and document management solutions.
Build and manage a pipeline of qualified opportunities.
Assist with tenders, proposals, presentations and customer demonstrations.
Represent the company at industry events, conferences and customer meetings.
Work closely with technical, operational and customer service teams to develop solutions that meet customer requirements.
Contribute to strategic growth initiatives and market expansion opportunities.
Achieve agreed sales and business development objectives.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
A minimum of five years' experience in business development, account management or solution-based sales.
A proven track record of achieving growth and developing customer relationships.
Strong communication, presentation and relationship-building skills.
The ability to engage confidently with senior decision-makers and stakeholders.
Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
A self-motivated and proactive approach.
The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment.
A willingness to travel when required.
