Your Role

  • Co-ordinate and oversee the entire injury management process, including medical treatment, return to work
  • Ensure claims are managed cost effectively within the framework of the legislation to optimise return to work outcomes
  • Implementing and monitoring Injury Management and Return to Work Plans
  • Regularly reviewing the work capacity of the worker, and investigating/arranging options for the worker’s retraining or redeployment
  • Appointing workplace rehabilitation providers if they are required
  • Collating medical information
  • Maintaining relevant documentation

What You’ll Need

  • A tertiary qualification in a relevant allied health field (Rehab Counsellor, OT, Social Work, Physio, EP, Osteo) desirable
  • A Certificate IV in Personal Injury Management (FNS42120) or a Diploma of Personal Injury and Disability Insurance Management (FNS51920) essential
  • Professional registration (ASORC/AHPRA/ESSA/AASW) desirable
  • Experience in injury management relating to occupational rehabilitation, clinical care, claims management and/or return to work
  • Knowledge of Tasmanian Workers Compensation legislation
  • Understanding of relevant regulatory, and/or legislative compliance requirements that impact the organisation
  • Ability to recognise, avert, manage, and escalate conflicts to enable effective and timely resolution in accordance with organisational processes
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; capable of communicating with key stakeholders with empathy, clarity and influence
  • Demonstrated ability to build effective relationships internally and externally with customers, stakeholders and service providers
  • Current driver's licence and motor vehicle
