$78,000 - $82,000 Annual

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and organise food preparation and cooking activities across all kitchen sections

Prepare and cook a variety of authentic Italian dishes in line with established recipes and presentation standards

Assist in menu planning, including seasonal menu development and cost control

Estimate food and labour costs and assist in maintaining budget targets

Ensure consistency in food quality, portion control, and presentation

Oversee kitchen operations during service, ensuring timely and efficient kitchen operations

Ensure compliance with food safety standards and hygiene regulations

Train, supervise, and support junior kitchen staff

Monitor stock levels, order supplies, and minimise food wastage

 

Skills & Requirements:

Relevant qualification (Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or higher, or equivalent)

Minimum 1 - 2 years of relevant full-time work experience as a Chef

Strong knowledge of Italian cuisine and commercial kitchen operations

Expert level knowledge and experience in Italian cuisine preparation and cooking techniques

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment

Strong teamwork and communication skills

Candidates must have legal authorisation to work in Australia
