Argyle Psychology is a busy Hobart-based psychology practice that has recently expanded into the Kingston area. With this exciting expansion, several opportunities exist for a Registered or Clinical Psychologist to consult from our new site (located just a 2-minute walk from Kingston Beach!).
Argyle Psychology provides therapy for a range of general mental health issues and has a well-established referral base. The practice receives a diverse range of referrals including for clients on a Mental Health Care Plan and referrals via NDIS, WorkCover, MAIB, EAP and DVA. Newly graduated psychologists or clinicians are also encouraged to apply.
Essential criteria:
Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) or applicable regulatory body;
Eligible to apply for a Medicare Provider number;
A current ABN (or willingness to obtain one);
A current indemnity insurance policy (or willingness to obtain such a policy prior to commencement of role);
Experience in the use of evidence-based treatments such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Schema Therapy and mindfulness-based approaches;
Awareness and understanding of trauma-informed care.
Desirable criteria:
Experience in the use of trauma interventions, such Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-focussed CBT.
