The Private Patient Liaison Nurse (PPLN) Service is based within the Integrated Operations Centre at the Royal Hobart Hospital (RHH), Tasmania’s largest hospital. The team supports patient‑centred care and helps improve access and flow across the Tasmanian health system by assisting patients with private health insurance or DVA coverage to understand their care options. PPLN CNCs provide clinical advice, assessment, education, and coordination to support safe and timely transitions from RHH to private hospitals and specialist services.
Working across Emergency, inpatient wards, Mental Health, and the Special Care Nursery, the team collaborates closely with multidisciplinary staff and contributes to high‑quality care, system capacity, and improved patient experience.

Details of appointmentPermanent, part time, shift worker (7 days pw, just not rotational lates and nights) position, working 32 hours per fortnight, commencing in September 2026.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary$118,297 to $125,543 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
