What you’ll be doing

• Plan and prepare nutritious meals and snacks for children, in line with approved menus and dietary requirements.
• Ensure food is prepared and served in accordance with food safety standards and service policies.
• Maintain kitchen hygiene and complete cleaning routines.
• Manage food purchasing, deliveries, and stock control within budget.
• Record and monitor food storage and temperature checks.
• Work collaboratively with the early learning team to support the overall wellbeing of children.

What you’ll bring

• Relevant qualifications and/or experience in food preparation.
• Knowledge of food handling and food safety guidelines.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• A team player with excellent interpersonal skills, especially with children and co-workers.
• Commitment to maintaining health and safety practices.
• You must hold a Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (Tas) and a current (dated within 6 months) National Police Check Certificate.

• Hourly rate between $34.10 and $34.77 (depending on skills and experience) + 13% superannuation.
• This is a permanent, part-time position (total 22 hours per week).
• The work pattern is Mondays: 8:00am – 1:00pm, and Tuesdays to Fridays 9:00am – 1:00pm.
