Join the Department of Logistics and Infrastructure (DLI) and play a key role in delivering infrastructure that keeps the Northern Territory connected, safe and growing.

We’re seeking experienced Project Managers (AO6/T5) and Senior Project Managers (AO7/T6) to lead the delivery of complex infrastructure projects and programs across our Built Infrastructure, Transport and Civil Operations and Housing and Land Servicing teams.

About the role

You will:

  • Manage a diverse portfolio of complex infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with NT Government legislation, policies, and technical standards.

  • Provide leadership and direction to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to agreed quality and performance outcomes.

  • Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships through effective communication with contractors, consultants, government agencies, and community groups.

  • Oversee financial, procurement, and reporting requirements, ensuring robust governance, probity, and accountability in line with NT Government processes and contract conditions.

  • Deliver strategic advice and technical input to support planning, program delivery, and continuous operational improvement across regional services.

About you:

We’re looking for professionals with:

  • Strong experience delivering complex multi-disciplinary projects in dynamic client-focused environments.

  • Proven expertise in project planning, procurement, and contract management, including effective supervision of contractors and consultants in line with contract conditions.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop, deliver, and enhance programs within government or large organisations, including contributing to planning and program management.

  • Highly developed communication, problem-solving, negotiation, and leadership skills, with a track record of building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and senior stakeholders.

  • Proficient in IT systems, including word processing, spreadsheets, and project management/design tools.
