We are seeking expressions of interest for our Facility Supervisor positions based in our Youth and Adult Accommodation Services teams statewide. The successful candidate will be required to work a range of shifts including weekends, nights, 24 hour shifts and public holidays (please note that Adult Accommodation Services includes meal serving).

What you’ll be doing:
- Manage tenancy processes including allocations, lease arrangements, rent monitoring, and eviction processes;
- Conduct property inspections and oversee cleaning, maintenance, and garden upkeep;
- Liaise with tenants/Students and support services to ensure wellbeing and tenancy success;
- Facilitate and participate in house meetings and feedback processes;
- Provide basic meal support including preparation, serving, and clean-up;
- Complete administrative tasks such as SHIP notes, reporting, and maintaining tenancy records;
- Assist with on-call support outside regular hours for emergencies or operational needs;
- Maintain a safe and compliant working environment in line with WH&S policies,
The successful applicant will:
- Have knowledge of the issues pertaining to people experiencing homelessness and a conceptual understanding of the social and political context in which they occur and the concept of and issues associated with communal living.
- Have sound understanding of relevant legislation including the Residential Tenancy Act 1997 and occupational health and safety requirements or willingness to develop these through participation in training including a sound understanding of quality assurance measures and their role in improving services provided for tenants.
- Have Safe Food Handling certificate or willingness to undertake training.
- Ability to effectively work within a team environment and knowledge of external services to ensure tenants have appropriate levels of support.
- Ability to contribute to a professional team environment including team de-briefing, program planning activities and a variety of other team based consultative processes.
- Good time management skills with the ability to effectively set priorities and manage resident’s issues and ability to plan and implement general cleaning and maintenance duties.
- High level interpersonal and verbal communication skills including the ability to conduct interviews and assessments and facilitate mediation and conflict resolution processes.
- Well-developed computer and written communication skills including the ability to:
- Prepare and write reports; and
- Collect accurate data and complete evaluations.
- Sound knowledge and understanding of the issues surrounding privacy and confidentiality, resident feedback and participation and their application to practice.

The successful applicants will be required to:
- present an unsupervised contact with children or vulnerable people type National Police Check (no older than 12 months);
- provide an International Police Check if you have resided for 12 months or more outside of Australia after the age of 16;
- provide a current Tasmanian Working with Vulnerable People Registration (employment/volunteer category) including NDIS Worker Screening Check if you are applying for the 1st time or have renewed your registration since 1st February 2021;
- undertake a satisfactory Anglicare-assessed medical;
- hold a provisional or full Australian Driver Licence
