As TasNetworks continue to evolve and drive excellence, we are looking for a dedicated Category Specialist to join our dynamic Supply Chain team. If you're an experienced professional with a strong background in procurement, contract management, and supplier relationship management, we want to hear from you!

As a Category Specialist, you will work closely with the Commercial Leader to help deliver strategic, data-driven approaches that address industry nuances. Your role will involve providing vital support in the commercialisation of category strategies, undertaking detailed market analysis, and offering expert advice on contractual and commercial decisions. You'll be integral to the effective management of the contract lifecycle and supplier relationships, ensuring optimal outcomes for TasNetworks.

About you

We're looking for someone with experience in procurement, contract management, or a similar role, with a solid understanding of contemporary practices and the Supply Chain.

You should be comfortable using tools like SAP, ARIBA, and Microsoft Office (especially Excel) to analyse data and generate insights. Strong analytical skills are essential, as you'll need to assess market trends and contract performance, presenting clear recommendations to stakeholders. You'll also need to communicate complex information in a straightforward and professional manner, tailoring your approach to different audiences.

The role requires a high level of organization and attention to detail, as you'll be managing multiple tasks and ensuring everything is documented accurately. You should be adept at problem-solving, able to navigate challenges, and work effectively with different teams to find solutions.

We're looking for someone who is adaptable, comfortable with change, and always seeking ways to improve processes. Finally, you should be customer-focused, with a commitment to providing excellent service to both internal teams and external suppliers.
